Diploma in Anatomy and
Physiology
The
Northern School of Kinesiology Diploma in Anatomy and Physiology is
designed for those working in Complementary Medicine as non- medical
practitioners (i.e. not qualified to prescribe medication). Mapped to the
National Occupational Standards published April 2003, and for ease of
comparison, of a similar standard to ITEC Level 3, VTCT, BTEC; City &
Guilds; CIBTAC; CIDESCO; IIHT. This is not a stand alone course and must
be completed alongside one of our existing kinesiology courses.

Pre-entry requirements:

Students must be aged over 16
The course consists of:
13 modules consisting of 50 hours guided
learning;
Course textbook:
An Introductory Guide to Anatomy and
Physiology by Louise Tucker (revised edition) ISBN 1-903348-00-5.
Supplied free on enrolment on course.
Assessment:
Assessment consists of written course work
and 3 MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) examination papers containing 40
questions per paper. Time allowed for each paper is 60 minutes. Pass mark
– 60%. The exam papers will take place on the Saturday evening of
modules 2,3 & 4.
